GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:

- Please note that it is strictly prohibited to call on the Emergency number of the Consulate for legalization queries, as it is exclusively reserved only for Argentine citizens in distress.
- Also note that phone calls or personal visits to the Consulate without an appointment are not permitted.
- All commercial documents presented for legalization at the Consulate, must be first endorsed by the corresponding Chamber of Commerce/Promotion Council/etc and legalized by the corresponding Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Documents submitted for legalization must be accompanied by one request letter mentioning the details of the documents to be legalized and authorizing the agent to do so on the behalf of company.
Such letter must include also a duplicate copy of all commercial documents (both sides) along with the originals; and a copy of the National Id of the agent authorized for submission/collection of documents.
- Under normal circumstances, Commercial documents are processed within 3 working days, if submitted personally or through an agent. However, under special circumstances or increase in the volume of legalizations required, the process can extend beyond 3 working days.
- For companies located in India, this Consulate ONLY accepts bank deposits in INR at the current USD – INR conversion of the day established by this Consular Section.
- Companies located in Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal or Sri Lanka can courier their documents to the Embassy and make wire transfer for fees (in those cases, USD -INR remittance charges charged by Banks).
- On the last business day of each month, documents are not received for legalization/vistos.
- When withdrawing the documentation from the Embassy, the person who picks it up must sign a receipt of the documents. Subsequent claims will not be accepted.
* Commercial documents belonging to companies registered in Maharashtra, India, must request legalizations at the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Mumbai (Address: Chander Mukhi Building, 10th Floor , Unit A, Nariman Point, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400021.

LEGALIZATION PROCESS:
1) Please email all the documents for verification (secon_eindi@mrecic.gov.a )
2) On finishing the verification process, we shall give an appointment to submit the ORIGINAL documents. Documents SHOULD NOT be stapled or punched. Please use U pins instead. Also, back-to-back printouts of any document, WILL NOT be accepted
Payment details will be shared on email before the date of appointment. Please note that the payment of the legalization fee is mandatory in order to initiate the process that includes verification of documents and legalizarion. If the legalization does not proceed, refund is not applicable.
