ALL GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING VISA APPLICATION PROCESS

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION THOROUGHLY AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU FULFILL ALL THE REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHED BY LAW, TO AVOID ANY DELAY IN THE PROCESS.

Each visa application is analyzed on a case-by-case basis.

In accordance with the relevant Laws of the Argentine Republic and the international practice, the Consular authority is entitled to refuse the visa and/or request additional documents apart from the mentioned list.

Fulfilling the mentioned requirements does not guarantee the visa issuance, as this is an exclusive prerogative of the Argentine State.

False information will derive in visa denial, expulsion and re-entry ban.

 

TYPES OF VISA:

Transitory visas: Tourist, Seafarer, Business purposes,Technician, Artist, Religious, Professional, Student;

Temporary visas: Work visa; Transferred personnel,

Permanent visas: Family Reunification;

SUBMISSION:

Transitory visas can be applied in any Argentine Embassy/Consulate across the globe. You may find further information in the following link: https://cancilleria.gob.ar/en/representaciones
 

For permanent/temporary visas:
a) if your place of residence is in Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India -except Maharashtra - you can apply for a visa at the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in New Delhi. Address: F-3/3 Vasant Vihar, New Delhi 110057, email address: secon_eindi@mrecic.gov.ar

b) if your place of residence is in Maharashtra, you must apply at the Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in Mumbai. For passengers in TRANSIT to other destinations, who stay in the premises of the Argentine International Airport for less than 12 hours, are not required to have a visa stamped on their passports.
 

Applications should be presented at least 4 (four) weeks before the expected date of travel.
 

Visa applications are generally processed in order they are received. However, the time frame varies depending on the type of visa requested and the time taken to fulfill all the requirements.
 

The intervention of agents is NOT compulsory to perform paperwork and proceedings at this Embassy.

OPENING:

The Visa Section is open from Monday to Friday, from 09:30 till 11.30 hrs.
The Embassy is closed on Argentine and Indian holidays.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION RELATED TO THE DOCUMENTS:

*Documents/certificates related to your current occupation. All such documents must be notarized/apostilled and duly translated into Spanish. Additional documentation might be asked by the Consular authority depending on the case.

*Visa application forms must be filled and signed by the applicants. It should be printed on 3 (three) separate pages and NOT back-to-back.

*Visa applications with incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

*A separate visa application form is required for each applicant, regardless of age.

*For transitory visas, 3 (three) colour photographs 4x4 cm white background . 

* For permanent/temporary blue background for temporary/permanent visas, if applicable, 3 (three) colour photographs 4x4 cm white background front-faced, and 3 (three) colour photographs 4x4 cm skyblue background, right faced.


*Submitting false information either on the visa application form or during the visa interview can lead to permanent ineligibility to enter Argentina.

*Do not sign the application form you are submitting without reviewing it.

*You are strongly advised to make only reservations of ticket flights and hotel accomodation until you receive your passport with the stamped visa. If the visa is denied, refund is not applicable for any of the visa categories.

*The visa fee is mandatory in order to initiate the visa process that includes verification of documents, visa interview and visa stamping.

*For MINORS: They require an authorization from who exercises parental rights. In case both parents exercise the rights, the two (both) parents should accompany them at the time of the personal interview. The visa form of a minor must be signed by all who exercise parental rights.

PASSPORT COLLECTION TIMING:

  working days, 16:00 hrs.

CONSULAR INTERVIEW:

Once the verification process of the documentation submitted is finished, you will be called for a personal interview.
The personal interview conducted by the Consul is mandatory by law and admits no exceptions.
This Embassy does not conduct online or telephonic interviews.

 

FEE DEPOSITS:

Fee Deposits are made in Indian Rupees at the Forex conversion rate of the day (as per Consular Units decided by the Consulate)
